Making Grand Hall even grander
In the South, it tends to be more the exception than the rule for a bride to choose a full seated dinner. When they do, it’s always accompanied by gorgeous tablescapes. Layer stunning textiles, fine china, letterpress printed elements, and Fern centerpieces and it’s a page out of a wedding editorial. It takes a whole lot of behind the scenes work for a reception with so many details. One of my memories of this wedding weekend is getting into 701 Whaley at 11 pm the night before (after Friday’s event) to drape the garlands of smilax before the dozens of tables arrived first thing Saturday morning. We were on ladders until nearly 2 in the morning! We have been told that the Grand Hall never looked better, so we think it was well worth it.
