This lilac spring wedding will forever be a team favorite. About an hour from our studio in Columbia, Aiken is a gem of a small town with a rich history and gorgeous Southern architecture. Julia, the bride, is based in NYC but returns to Aiken with family every year. She brought us on board alongside GLDN planner, Meredith, to flower the weekend. On Friday, we filled vintage trophies with poppies for a Rehearsal Dinner at the Polo Track, followed by a welcome party at the historic Wilcox Hotel. Saturday’s ceremony was a perfect spring evening at Joye Cottage followed by a reception in a sailcloth tent with one of the most beautiful tablescapes we have ever done. It was Sunday’s pool party brunch with sprawling balloon arches and tropical flowers that tops them all as the most fun.
